‘Return to Venus’ is a macro photography collection that draws inspiration from nature as its subject, utilising cyanotype printing solutions alongside photography as its primary mediums. This collection celebrates the beauty of nature & honours the ageing process & the passage of time.

Botanical elements are carefully arranged on cyanotype-treated paper, exposed to sunlight to activate the development process & photographed using a macro lens.

Traditionally, cyanotype-treated paper is rinsed under running water after exposure, revealing a striking 'blueprint.' With this collection, however, I embraced a more experimental approach by photographing the prints at various stages of exposure & development.

This process captures the vibrant array of colors that emerge when the paper remains dry or when liquids are delicately applied to the exposed surface, creating a dynamic & ephemeral interplay of hues & textures.
